El Paso ISD is thrilled to announce an upcoming districtwide celebration called El Paso ISD Fiesta. This event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, at 10 high schools in the district. The goal of the El Paso ISD Fiesta is to foster a stronger connection between district campuses and the communities they serve.
After gathering feedback from stakeholders — including district staff and community members — the district is introducing a new format for its kickoff celebrations that brings schools closer to their communities. El Paso ISD Fiesta will take place across the district, with each high school hosting a community event for their respective feeder patterns. This localized approach ensures that families and community members can actively engage with their neighborhood campuses, building personal connections that foster a sense of pride and unity.
“We are excited to launch El Paso ISD Fiesta, an event to showcase our spirited school culture and build lasting connections,” El Paso ISD Superintendent Diana Sayavedra said. “By hosting these events within our communities, we aim to establish stronger links between our campuses and the families we serve. El Paso ISD Fiesta will provide a more personalized and meaningful experience for our students and parents.”
El Paso ISD Fiesta events will feature a variety of activities, including information booths, giveaways, and convenient school supply pickup for students and parents. These festivities will provide an opportunity for families to gather important information about their local schools while enjoying a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
By bringing the celebration closer to the community, the El Paso ISD Fiesta aims to strengthen relationships, promote transparency, and enhance communication channels between campuses, families, and community stakeholders. This shift in approach reflects El Paso ISD’s commitment to listen to the needs and desires of its diverse district, fostering a stronger and more inclusive educational environment for all.
